Climate Proxy Voting Dashboard

This interactive Online Dashboard complements Majority Action’s Climate in the Boardroom 2024 report. It depicts the climate proxy voting records of the world’s largest asset managers with respect to key climate shareholder proposals and key directors at climate-critical companies.

The Manager-by-Manager Dashboard analyzes how individual asset managers voted on key climate proxy matters during the 2024 shareholder season. Users can toggle between climate director elections and climate shareholder proposals. Managers were assessed on climate director accountability at 18 US-based S&P 500 climate-critical companies in the oil and gas, financial services, and utilities sectors that were misaligned with a net zero pathway according to key climate performance benchmarks. Managers were assessed on 38 shareholder proposals that were filed at 36 US-based Russell 3000 companies. These proposals were positively received by shareholders and proxy advisors and spanned three key categories – decarbonization, climate lobbying, and climate finance – that are central to mitigating climate risk and transitioning to a net-zero economy.

The Asset Manager League Table allows users to compare the climate voting performance of various asset managers. It aggregates each manager’s average level of support for climate director elections by sector and for climate shareholder proposals by category.
